funny how its always road bikes that are the most pricey.....but ja I suppose if you spec a bike and chose the most expensive option for each part (ceramic bearings, electric gears, powermeter etc.) it could get out of hand rather quickly....

why did the Pina guy refer to the cosmetic top layer carbon weave when comparing the difference between a fake and an original......surely that has nothing to do with the quality of the carbon fibre......

but its not like thy're pushing the fake frames for R7k or something......cos at that price the buyer should know its a fake, selling the fake at original rrp....thats another story.

quite right, but you had said you don't pay vat in SA if you paid it overseas...... oh and you still have to pay VAT on 2nd hand goods......and get an import permit from ITAC......well if you bought is 2nd hand that is...... anyways, back to the main show!

not really correct....but anyway. SARS want their VAT, if he paid Aussie VAT he should have claimed it back at the airport upon leaving the country. A much less sever crime than selling fake merchandise......

did they have a showroom full of pinarello's? or was it a once off special order for yourself? i.e. are they posing as a fully fledged Pina dealer.....?
