  1. Good afternoon I've been off the bike for a while and recently got a frame from a friend. I'm looking to build a fun trails/enduro bike. Not wanting to spend to much money on the build. I still need most parts for the build. I only have a frame, please inbox me if you have anything. I really don't care what it looks like just want to have fun with it and get back riding the trails. 120 - 130 travel fork 27.2 seatpost/external dropper Seat Seatpost clamp Cranks Flat pedals 1x9 or 10 groupset Brakes 26er wheels eduro/downhill Tyres Tubes Short stem Wide Raiser bars 180/200 rotors Bb Grips Etc.
  2. I've had my eye on the trifox integrated handlebar and stem, also a bit sceptical on the quality of the product. You can find some reviews on you tube on some the products(didn't convince me to get it). You could also contact the guys from Kean bikes, they have some good quality import carbon components and very cool guys to do business with.
  3. 2012 Giant xxx adv 0 Guy's from Kean bikes stripped the paint, did internal cable routing and sprayed a 2k clear coat. Did a few upgrades. Xx1 group set Xt brakes Maxxis ardent 2.35 tyres
  4. Crossways tower between P.E and Jeffreysbay.
  5. Slowly doing some upgrades to this old steed. 2012 Giant xtc adv 0
  6. Absolutely love my grip shift running a gx for the last view years and waiting for a xx1 to arrive later this week, Cant wait to feel the difference. I feel the grip shift was a bit tricky in the beginning, had some accidental shifts but now it does not happen anymore. Grip shift really just feels so much faster and responsive especially when skipping a wide range of gears. It also allows for those difficult shifts running to fast into a switchback and having a sharp climb in the other side.
  7. So here she is. My first build and what a lady. Not to big not to small just right for me. My giant xtc 2014 27.5
  8. Loving the Western Cape Wolseley mountains 5:30 90km ride done and dusted.
  9. Rim is bent. I checked it before i spoked it. Thought could pull it round if i spoke it properly but just doesnt work. Ik thanks will consider getting a new rim when im down south. Thanks
  10. so i was forced to rebuild my back wheel. I have managed to get it straight but it has a bump going up and down. I compared my rim to a newer straight rim(unfortunately not same amount of spokes) before the build and its not round anymore. could someome please give me some advice what to do. The only tool i have is a spoke spanner and no local bike shops within a day or two drive from me. would it be possible to push it straight from the inside useing a car jack?
  11. Hey all Newbie to cycling. Did some bmxing back in the days and borrowed a friends road bike in my senior years patrolling the road between Montagu and Barrydale. After that I bought a very nice bright orange dual suspension Raleigh with the weight of a tank. After giveing it back 3 times within the first week I tried upgrading some parts and takeing of all the colourful stickers. Nothing worked so I swapped it for my brothers highfi(radio). Then I bought myself a GT chucker jb and had some fun on it patrolling bainskloof for a few weeks then I tore my ACL ligaments playing rugby. Got it fixed and tore the other side surfing, stil not fixed. Did some Mtb in between everything in zambia and fell inlove with it and moved up to zambia after all of it. Was borrowing n friends gt zaskar for some time and got overit useing someone elses bike. Well my chucker got stolen and thats when I decided I wanna take up mtb seriously and look for a bike. Ive been patrolling the mtb section daily for 3 months now and fell in love with alot of bikes and got my heart broken a few times to see them go. Hopefully buying my first proper mtb soon and getting these legs strong again. Im 1,81 and between 85 and 80kgs. Could be 70kg right now because of a stupid muskito that kissed me and left me in bed. Thank you and have a nice one.
