I am regaining my fitness. I have improved my overall average speed to 31,5km even with getting a flat in the last 10km. Weather was great during the race, it came down heavily on the way home, after leaving the venue.

8000km in 2 months??? EASY PEASY!

Today became a Great training Ride. Started 8 minutes behind "Z". On riding through the stragglers I noticed a Rider moving Up. I caught up to him and commented why don't the two of us work together, He agreed. Then the two of us pushed hard, I realized that he struggled on the Hills so would chill on the climbs, letting both us catch our breath. Well I managed a overall 3H35 with a 27Km Average. Thank You for your company

Hello Cav If this is the Same person? From other Social media. @60km in the Leading bunch, wheels were Touched and 'Nigel' went down. According to comments he has No recollection how he got Up and Back onto his bike. Nigel continued to Finnish the race. He was taken to Hospital afterwards and transferred to Fourways for Surgery. Broken four Ribs and Collar Bone with multiple Roasties.

Hello Pure Savage Cycle Trust's Marshall's are a completely different group to the Training Professionals PPA utilize. No Lead official vehicles for any of the known top Bunches were provided. I would use this Route in Reverse. Giving you three good Climbs in the first 30/40km. Namely the Paarl Prison rollers, Helshoogte and then the R44 leaving Stellenbosch. Otherwise the Organization is looking for a Disaster if not even Worse than today's mistakes. I will be sending my complaints in writing.

Traffic got directed through the whole Estate, Why? Total waste of time! Motorcycle Marshall's were Non Existent. Group 2A was not controlled. We got caught by 2B before we even left the Estate.

Hello Mamil Back in days. There was Two events on each and every weekend for the whole season. There was always plenty of participants at the events and they were well catered for.

Hello Az I get you. Due unforseen circumstances Cycle Events are now few and far between what they used to have 15 years ago.

Why is this Event not Advertised? Nothing on PPA Website. I heard from a friend on Tuesday regarding the event.

All the Hills I could find to get to Cape Point. Then turned around to come home and repeated everything again.
