  1. That was a good, but bloody hot day.
  2. You can, from 730 I think, but on the day entries are R475 or something like that, R100 more than online.
  3. I took a look at the results from one of the earlier ones int eh year and the slowest rider did about 40min of timed ridding. I aint no speed demon so I guess I will be sort of around the middle of the group depending on the demon count
  4. So for those who wear these lovely arm based life trackers... How does one record an enduro, just as one big assed MTB "ride" or do you guys go all out and do the multi-sport thing and track each section separately
  5. Def did not find that one, but at R35 cheaper is much of a muchness.
  6. This would very much classify as a nice to have item, but a while back when I stopped in at the hanger to get my shoes and knee guards I saw this and stopped half way through my what is this sentence to have a mini heart attack at the price, but was sold when Stephan (The Hanger Bike Co.) explained what it is and why it's awesome, I fully agreed and decided that when the hard tail was sold I could justify the expense for that simplicity and convenience. As you can no doubt tell, said hard tail was sold. [emoji819] Unessesarry but awesome expense... For those wondering, R1100. Have not seen it online anywhere locally, but I get excellent service so will rather support them than save a few bucks online.
  7. I thought it was 1 per 100km or is there a weekly cap at 100? I can just about make 100 if I go to work every day.
  8. That is how I understand it, but as you know how us mere mortals understand it vs how discovery meant it are 2 very different things.
  9. You get 1 board play per 100 event free driving KM if you are using the insure app during the 10 week vitality open, after that if you wish to gain the extra plays through driving you need to be a discovery insure client and get the in vehicle tracker. So basically some of us are getting up to 4 maybe even more spins per week, those of us that are not insure clients will drop back to a max of 2 per week.
  10. Same, I would care but none of them are on the race calendar as they only like road runners.
  11. There is no working way around this, each device include meta data as to what it is and how it was recorded, that is why even if it is a garmin device, adding/importing a workout from another device wont work.
  12. Well, thats garmin electing what to send, and being garmin discovery cannot really argue.
  13. No, they get everything, the entire payload. Activity type distance, hr, freaking cadence if you have that. Probably all ur gps data too.
  14. Enjoy, great watch.
  15. OK there are 3 goals at this point. Activity goal, personalised goal, driving goal. I dunno how personalised the personalised one is but week 1 was the same for everyone, add 5 friends. Next week the same I think, have 5 friends make their goal. My "personalised" one was the driving one as I installed the insure app, so yesterday I got 3 plays. Your personalised goal is emailed to you.
  16. Yeah, I don't race up the hills, but should get up pretty decently.
  17. The hanger bike Co.
  18. Not on my one, on mine it was top tile 2nd column from the right.
  19. Really considering this one, sounds like a good first and they may not be doing Enduros next year, I saw on FB only 14 people entered for the previous one so it was cancelled and understandably they do need reasonable interest to seriously plan them in for the new year. Would suck for all us beginners wanting to try it out, does sound like Enduro in general has a good social vibe between the racing segments, and well with my cycling experience dropping off 6ft boulders probably not a good idea (exaggeration for funzies).
  20. How long does an event like this take, wip a normal race its easy to estimate I'll be out for 3 or 4 hours ridding, but never done an enduro and keen to try. I know it greatly depends on how many racers, but is it a couple hours thing or book out a hole day thing? Thanks.
  21. I just connect my Garmin to the Wattbike, you can ANT+ pair the watch with the wattbike as a Speed/Cadence sensor. Bottom middle of the screen you will see in ID, look for that sensor, pair and all watt bike data comes to your watch. I was connected my Fennix 5 to both the bike and an external HR at the same time, not sure if all support that.
  22. Picked up my shoes and finally after like 5 or 6 weeks on order Leatt decided it was time to grace SA with some stock.
  23. She is a stunner hey, big ups mate, may she give many a happy mile...
