  1. Anton's shop is by far the best. He always gives me great prices and discount without me needing to negotiate, and service. He fixes small things on my bike without charging me anything and he does it while I wait.
  2. To date, I have not heard one positive peice of comment about any Fritz race this year
  3. YOu can never go wrong with LOOK. A friend of mine who was a hardend TIME rider, got a pair with a new bike and he was easily won over. Plus the support for LOOK in SA is excellent
  4. I wash my chain and clean it with Raleigh Chain Cleaner - R35 LBS. After giving it a good scrub and rinse, I put some SQUIRT on making shure the chain goes by all the sprockets. My chain nor gearing ever looks dirty or has residue build-up on it. No Mud, Dust, Grease or anything
  5. I'll go for TIME ATAC (any model) pedals. Second choice would be the LOOK QUARTZ. Best for racing. These are quite expensive. On the cheaper side: The Egg Beaters. LBS says maintenance and spares is cheap and easy to come by. If you have to you can work on them by yourself
  6. How much does it cost? You can buy it from Solomons in PTA-North, maybe get a few rands of if you pay cash. Else, I buy from Cycle House in PTA-North. They'll give you a very good price
  7. Gansbay, I have used squirt on my mtb in the wettest conditions possible and it just preformed. The trick with it is to put it on your bike then get your stuff and go, to give it a chance to dry properly.
  8. http://www.squirtlube.com/pix/lldl.jpgI use this on my MTB and raod chains. Not a days worth of trouble
  9. Guy at my LBS told me that Q20 when mixed with sand gathered, forms sort of a grinding paste that can damage your chain. Did you look for SQUIRT DRY LUBE. It's wax based and not that expensive
  10. Makes sense. I'm quite new to mountain biking. I ride a Scott Aspect and my sadlle is showing to much wear and tear now, so I'm looking in the direction of a Fizik or Selle
  11. HI I was wondering if you can use a road saddle on a mtb? Anybody here who does that, let me know what you think?
