  4. Also had a friend who had the same trouble with his Quartz. Eventually had to get a new pair. EggBeater is really the best pedal. Easy to get your foot in and out, gives no trouble and after sales service is superb.

    Ultegra Di2

I'm also the biggest SRAM fan. Mechanical I'll only ride SRAM, but the Di2 levers were so perfect for my smaller hands, I instantly fell in love. Shifting is very precise and quite.

  9. Learning to lace spokes is the easy part. The trueing is the hard part. That R450 is not a bad price for spokes and labour.
  10. Was there this afternoon. Saw lots of animals here on the R21 side, including a Kudu. Didn't see the sables, but trust they are alright. I should mention I didn't go around to onion hill and the switch backs, so don't know the situation there.
  11. Are you looking for carbon specific? What is your height

  14. Most effecient gearing I've heard from the people I know riding 29er, is 2x10, with 36T and 22T in front, with 36-11 casette. The gearing sounded very light in the beginning, but the one guy remarked that it saved him from blowing up.
  15. AGREED!! First to show da moola, gets the good(s).

    BB30

BB30 was invented by Cannondale and is a sort of "Open Source" BB standard new-ish to the market. It uses a 30mm axle instead of the standard 24mm axle you would find on say GXP. They claim it saves weight and has less friction. For myself personally, what I have seen in the time I worked at a bike shop it is a bit of a pain really. GXP for me is alot easier to install and maintain by yourself. If your bearings in a BB30 system are just a bit of, the crank is so stiff you can't turn it. You also need special tools for the BB30. To answer your question, YES, you do get adapter plates so you can run your GXP crank on a BB30 frame. So you will need to get hold of one of these kits if you do buy your new frame.
