Hi guys....want to lose some extra kilo's this next couple of weeks, I know we had a similar discussion recently but what is the best though? Do some heavy miles everyday or rather do some harder shorter rides? Example week: 2 hrs semi hard weekday rides 4 to 5 hr ride on weekends OR Example week: 3 to 4 hours weekday 5 to 6 hour ride on weekends

Of course! This one is all electrical so you canset your wattage and resistance. Tells you your watts you pedal at. You look at around R3800....but it is defnitley worth it because if you have a &&&$#@@ one you never ride on it anycase. The Flow also does not wear your tyre so much because the resistance wheel does not get that hot. Go and look at the wesite and see....VERY COOL SITE!! Go for the TACX Flow. It is a bit expensive but rides like a dream. Very silent.

I had , 4 bottles of Cytomax, 4 GU's and one Powerbar. More than enough.....wonder how the guys did who took the whole Pick 'n Pay with them.

I agree with CK-1, PPA has the monopoly of the cycling in the Western Cape. The one hubber here said he was willing to sponser 25K but he want the DC to be sponsered "company name" DC....but NOOOOO we do not need you money. The logo of the copany must be "For cyclists by cyclist"....can't think of a new name yet......sorry guys!

My bike is a compact......Drops 2cm from front to rear. Tha Cannondale Synaps has almost the same geometry as the Giant's whith their HUGE slopes.... Just my 2c....... That looks like one mean looking bike!! Nice one....Never looked at Cannondale for the past few years but that one looks nice!

I like the composite type frames.....Trek and Cannondale looks too 90's.

I do not want to even know how much those frames will cost?

Howzit guys. Want to get a road frame but want to know what is the best road frame? I saw the TCR? ADVANCED ISP....looks awesome and good value for money. What do you think?

this thread looks to me more like who can drink the most bottles of liquid and take the most food around.....sounds to me the unfittest or the "most afraid I am not going to make 200km" is taking the most food onboard!

Yep - if you get hungry just park off at their backup car - there will be loads of food and drinks - they will be in no state to eat. not a bad idea......nice to have a little buffet on a Saturday morning while doing a long ride......

What food do you guys take on you that is doing the DC? I have about 3 GU's, packet of Jelly Tot's and 2 POWERBARS. Is that enough?

I have a Tacx FLOW. This thing is awesome and gives you HR, speed and tou can change your resistance/watts as you cycle. The resistance you get from this turbo trainer does not put ANY strain on your legs because you can adjust it to very low. Very smooth ride though!

There are a good few who can - for example Robby was 2nd at Red Hill last year behind only Darren Lill. That is one.....you got about 3 to 4 oaks left.

fatcyclist......was it you that the bunch caught on the turn left to Paarden berg road. I think Robbie just got a puncture after the left turn, so the bunch cracked the pace up a bit to make sure he does not get into the buch again.

I want to see if some of the SV League riders will make the Eilte bunch. Not a ^&*%^ chance in hell. I dropped from the Elite first bunch and waited for the SV.....quite a JOKE. SV race different. More teams in the SV bunch to keep the pace high so their avg speed is not bad. There is only/maybe a handfull of SV that will be able to survive Elite League.
