Just got a mail from CSA to renew my license, reminding me of all the benefits etc etc No doubt an automatic mail. Pity they haven't thought this through, considering the times we in and the cancellation of races going forward? Supposed they tried! Maybe some will pay? Never know.

Maybe someone can help, is ASG operational? I see lots of specials etc, but nothing when you contact them? I firstly requested my money back from the cancellation of the Emperors race, no answer from them. Only the initial mail to either spend in there online shop or keep your entry for next year. After no response to getting my money back i decided to spend it on one of the specials being offered. Mailed them with the special Im interested in and how i go about writing the entry off against the price. Anyway, a few non answered calls (assuming they closed) and a few mails later, still nothing, but the email on the specials dont stop? Very weird..... Seeing the Jock has been sold too, seems things are not good? Anybody else have some luck with them?

So, event has been cancelled.....with a week to go. Pity. Here's hoping the refunds are done quick and without delays.

I wonder about the longivity of this race going forward. Dwindling numbers, licenced groups being joined? Seems to get smaller and smaller each year. Sign of the times maybe? Not sure I'll do it again. Thanks to the schools - hope they at least make some money out of the event? Would have been nice to purchase a shirt or something for the event - but nothing? Anyway, lekker tough route, nice to ride in some heat and get away from the highveld cold mornings.

Has to be the best organised event by far. Great route... the best road surface I've done for 110km's! Albeit our race was stopped with about 20 odd km's (VC) to go, we were warned, some just won't listen!! Not to sure on the rule re the breakaway though, do they get the advantage? Maybe some extra shade at the entertainment area? Gets pretty full quickly. Other than that... a race you should never miss. Thanks Germiston bunch and your team.... was a goodie.

Na... dont think so.... if your kid gets picked for 1st team he plays there.... doesn't move to 2nd's at will and run all over the 2nd team okes! Apples with apples.... if u seeded A... ride A... might as well forget about seeding then...... You hit the nail on it's head.... to allow similar ability to compete with one another! Pointless dropping back? Not to mention you ride / train with your mates alot. Sure they'll be fine 1 group behind?

I'm confused........ why try break up the BL okes..... stay with AL where u seeded? You made the breaks etc.... so were keen to win BL maybe? Maybe in AL you would have found your few minutes and / or 2-3 km per hour you were looking for? Just a thought

Oke who won it..... not sure I saw him for 97.5km's...anyway sure he's proud, well done lad (his Strava is ) Most of the day up front were the same few guys... to those fellas.... thanks for bringing the winners home! to the rider with the number 27 on his bike, proudly displayed.....assuming he is an elite cyclist, but had a special number behind his seat post, not like us..... when asked why he didn't have a race number he promptly answered... "i'm not racing, didn't enter??" WTF dude... you rode the whole way? There were more.... you know who you are? Maybe they the ones complaining about the price? Anyway, always lekker to ride with some of your mates. Glad there were no major crashes in the A group - well not that we heard or saw thankfully.... be safe out there

So, noticed rider in our group (AL) on Strava, but no result on ractetec... also wondered during the ride why no number? Put it down to his wind jacket over his racing shirt maybe? Shame on you for riding and not paying to enter? Or did you....... hope I got it wrong? Anyway, you know who you are...... hope you had a lekker ride!

Only been cycling for just short of 2 years now...... done most of the races around.... Gerald, to you and your team one of the best organised races around.... road markings were spot on, marshalling very visible, finish / start perfect. Thanks you for organizing an amazing race..... much appreciated..... AL guys, lekker bunch, well behaved...... it does sometimes get somewhat "twitchy" here... but okes were mellow despite the wind... some nice loud shouts / heads up when needed... thanks guys... will as always be back again.... Big shout out to the team in the food tent.... good way to finish the day off .......
