  1. chunky, is it possible that the riders will use cocaine? will it help?
  2. this is too high for me
  3. jan riding rapport tour at 16, there's a man on the moon
  4. sorry i wasnt there, too stuffed up from accident
  5. A person that was involved a few years ago told me the bookkeeper stole money 2 years ago. Bellairs and the rest decided to sweep in under the carpet. I have a suspicion that something may have happened again. Maybe the new financial trustee on the board uncovered something. I think they need to move the CSA office to Jhb and start clean.Groot Lem2008-02-29 03:47:00
  6. marvulli in cwc? discussing tactics for madison perhaps. i see some belgium track riders riding giro
  7. Where's Morne Blignaut? Doesnt other provinces juniors ride track? This doesnt look very exciting if its our top riders. Willemse, Thomas on Giro list.
  8. better planning needed from CSA. And is mr Wagener team manager??
  9. hulle lees dit almal, even lawrence cornered me the other nite, asking why i talk against him on the hub. so the blonde works for the people that organised the worlds view, wonder if she also changed the sprint to a single lane 4 hunter and co.
  10. lunchtime, tel nie op nie. mooimusiek, cut off! e mail is better, i cant post the phone conversation on the hub. but it will be along the lines of " why do you discuss this on a public forum? rather talk to us, and anyway, thats our rules..."
  11. Last week was also dangerous with 5 races finishing on a downhill sprint in a single lane of a dual carriage way. Wellington last year some girls were DQ cause there was no space in the single lane for everyone to sprint. I see I have a missed call from tannie Karin, let me go get my hiding.
  12. I dont agree. I thought we could start somewhere, and get the privelage for more bunches and races later. The 1st bunch on the road is the most in danger. What will the problem be if I could organise a rolling road closure, it is SAFER. One day a cyclist will crash and fall in front of a fast moving truck. Then I'll make sure PPA get sued bigtime.
  13. Sorry guys, I tried. 14. we can send the epic boys tiaan strauss and robbie kempson to do laps until they get attacked.
  15. Dont ride alone esp in pappegaaiskop, western side of Stellenbosch. Corrie Muller (Epic masters podium) rode this morning and a person with hockey stick attacked him, breaking his Specialised carbon MTB frame. Ride with a buddy at all times.
  16. Gianni, thats the only way forward. And I think PPA will agree.
  17. Most officials do it for the money. So, the officials must PUT UP WITH PPA! Something is wrong here. Latrinus?
  18. pOps we also need rolling road closure cause if you sit 20cm inside your side of the road, and a truck passes you thats on the white line at 120km/h, its too dangerous. Half the people that comment here dont even know how to sit in a bunch. If i ride with my C number I dont need or want it. But if I'm in league I need and want it. Cause in C i'm just riding for a time, in league I'm racing. Just position that counts. I dont care if its 4 hours. We will always have a difference of opinion. And dont give me the crap that the white line is the end of the road. if the gutter is on the left I WILL ride in the gravel from time to time. if I dont I'm dropping, will take the chance. lets start with elites for the road closure, but if you dropped you dont get it. WHY? Cause youre race is finished, you cant win. I almost chased an official home in the 3 day cause I didnt like the way he talked to cyclists.
  19. The girl that was sworn at didnt want a gap, she was in FRONT of the person swearing. it was a C bunch funrider swearing at a 2 time Olympic games participant, that has a million times more experience at bunch racing.
  20. Why cant they get rolling road closure?
  21. The races that cant organise rolling road closures musnt be leagues then. And then stay left. Lets see what we can do....
  22. My point is that PPA or the race organiser NEED to get rolling road closure for the racing bunches. Maybe the guys were so used to race on the wrong side of the road after the weekend they thought it was stage 4 of TdB. How can we get cars stopped on du Toitskloof pass and in a national race like Die Burger they cant? i dont get it. Its like they dont want it? I agree the riders were wrong, but the comm was also wrong. And this *** of allways making the road NARROWER for the sprint! It needs to be wider! And then you had 5 routes finishing together! In one lane!
  23. The referee in the cricket between Aussie and India was send home recently after India complained. I think its time the riders complain and stand together. I refuse to ride league, 99er and the other big races before the race organisers, commisaires and PPA sort things out. tHis type of behaviour by the comm, I heard its little Craig Hawtrey, he was a schoolboy rider when I was elite, is reckless and uncalled for. Lay a complaint at PPA. Have a meeting with the powers that be. Dont take the nonsense answers that the cops dont want you to cross the line. Or all racing will cease to exsist. did you guys see the cops at TdB! THey are just too happy to have a rolling road closure. But PPA are there to do funrides, they dont understand racing. I'm willing to join at such a meeting.
  24. Officials like snails with results. TT what I have. Willemse, Keey, Sowerby. Tour winner Sowerby.
  25. Those Equinox bikes, drool.... Maybe a lucky draw for next years event. Mike Sowerby, the winner today on his nice bike.
