My personal opinion.... there goes the last hope for any change in SA cycling. Truly a sad loss to cycling. Agree with Manbat 100%. Maybe not a "peoples person" but got the job well done. Now my friends see if ANYONE else can get CSA's officials to change just an inch. Well Tony, may you find greener pastures and enjoy it.

Meeste van my eie menings is reeds uitgespreek deur baie van julle, behalwe dat hy ook praat van die "malletjies" wat die comrades doen elke jaar. Ek ry wel nie self fiets nie maar het gesinslede wat dit doen, maar hierdie "statement" maak my baie warm, want nou is dit sommer ons "malletjies" ook. Hy "wonder" in sy artikel of die fietsryers van nature arrogant is en of dit hul geld is wat hul so maak. Nou wonder ek.... hy s? dis net 45min se ry om die roete af te handel of 5 min se vlieg.... dalk het die mofgat te veel geld, dit klink nogal soos "flashing" as jy my vra. Miskien is dit wat hom so arrogant maak, of miskien is hy een van daai outjies wat nooit "span" kon kry nie, of nooit uithouvermo? gehad het om sporte soos fietsry en atletiek te doen nie. Hy was dalk net die toeskouer sy hele lewe lank, en toe gaan doen hy modelwerk, of skryf belaglike berigte soos die een. Die arme verkrampte siel, ek is seker hy dink dit was skerp, maar dis uiters onvanpas, maak nie saak hoe berekend dit was nie.

Cyclemania, first of all, these jnr's got a long list of races they have to do for the year, which they did (and if I may add the "villans" preduced"). Saturday's race was not on the list. It was a last minute decision. Nobody told them they HAVE to race with open gears, it was a suggestion, they decided to do it and as I said got punished for it. It was their own decision againts the instruction of their own manager. I think this whole thing is blown out of proportion. There was a suggestion (in the race) that they (with open gears) help the other jnr's to get the race going, but they refused, that made them the villans. However they were supposed to race Sunday, they were deliberately excluded for their own team because of their delinquency on Saturday. They were taken down when one of their team mates pulled dead brakes in front of the bunch. A lot of damages were caused. As far as I know nothing happend to that "team mate". I personally don't think that any one of them would want another rider in ICU and I dont think anything will happen at 94.7. I must just add that pulling brakes (in my opinion) is bad sportmanship, gutter the guy, race him, win him fair and square. I just know if I had a kid doing that (at 17 years) I would be a very worried parent.

Sias, moet erken dit sal nogal vreemd wees (as toeskouer) om te sien hoe die "open" ryers eers klaarmaak voor die groot kanonne die "sprint" aandurf, kan redelike chaos veroorsaak. En die groot kanonne kan tog so gou ongelukkig raak oor wie saam, voor of agter hulle begin, dit sal 'n absolute geteem afgee!!!
