It’s been labeled a state of emergency and Everything else is closed like restaurants, cinema’s, schools and and and for the next 15 days but may be extended. The other reference is that with regards to cycling is that they worried if you crash and go to hospital you take up valuable time and resources from the virus patients and staff. I don’t mind chilling at home or walking in the forest here but there is no sport at all on TV which is rough. Hi Frosty I cannot say to much so please excuse me on that but we did do voluntary but the authorities were also controlling overall.

At the end of March I believe calls will be made for races in April but I don't think it looks good at all, my personal opinion only. Im not under quarantine personally, however we kinda banned selfly from travel etc. Im also happy about that as I was meant to go to Tirreno and was worried then was rerouted to PN but cancelled basically on route to the airport. Was then rerouted to Catalunya and here we are. Its worked out alittle well as my wife has been having some issues with residency thanks to SA Home affairs that needed alot of time and attention. We do have some riders and staff still in quarantine in UAE but I know some are being released as I type.

That is a problem in general more than levels, like there are points and all that also included. However for us we have done alot of shuffling of riders calendars the last 3 days. Its been incredible what has been done. But then it comes to coaches having to in some cases completely change training, annual plans and the likes. For myself, with the riders I personally works 1 on 1 with, I have built a large 4 week block that will simulate close to or a typical 5-7 day Tour load as many were set to do Tirreno, Paris Nice and with a good portion behind the scooter to keep speed up. The for some its a small blessing to be able to recover from some small injury or illness lingering. UAE riders have been given a travel date but for now they all Zwifting or just riding indoors and doing some off bike strength work where possible. No one is racing to Tenerife, they had a complete hotel on lock down there not to long ago due to the virus.

You are very correct in terms of what is coming. It is what it is but as you said, make the best of it and respect all and any decisions made. A good number of teams are out of racing until what looks like Catalunya.

Guys, its not a joke here. There is alot of going ons about this virus and cycling races in general. It could be far reaching.

Im the 1st to admit I am not a fan of indoor riding / training and believe outdoors is still the best option especially when doing specifics. But I do understand that isn't always possible and people ride inside. But this seems severely over the top and from a price and actual benefit perspective. 20k?

Monaco is a tax haven and really really good for training - weather is good, terrain is good and quiet with traffic once you leave town which is a short pedal. Many athletes from different disciplines live in Monaco - much like Andorra. If he is basing himself there it makes sense as there is little in the way of tracking finances to a point. Not cause many cyclists live there and he can work with them.
