  1. Yes you have a new bike for every race and stage in a Tour. If there parts that are a small % questionable they replaced - this is just the level it is. Same as a MotoGP bike for example- new bike per race.
  2. Ps: He has a new TT bike for every race....🤩
  3. With he connections big George has and the invites they have already gotten I their 1st year, I can see them in a GT next year being Giro or Vuelta. If you were asking on my personal calendar it is Belgium currently aero testing Tour Romandie from Sunday TDF Recon directly after Munich direct from recon for something home 4 days - camp then home 5 days back to camp 10 days home into a 2 day Conference Direct into the Tour de France So its not all that galmourous I can go on about this but really wont and become a semi rant but SA Media does not know we exist or maybe they chose not to know I have no clue personally and I think only they know. It is what it is I guess, but they always claiming SA needs to be put out there but there is radio silence. Like zero. I turn down alot of media requests cause I prefer to be on the background and not infront of a camera always - its just my personality and also the Team filters stuff etc which is normal but the amount of European or world wide requests I get in monthly has outweighed anything South Africa has requested in about 13 years. There is limited (3-5) amount of South Africans doing incredible work at the utmost highest level of the sport (higher level than riders) which one would think SA would like to draw attention to for their own sake but instead they seem to worry about some other bull****. SA cycling is its own worst enemy it seems
  4. Not a World Tour ranked race
  5. Rider in 37th thinks he is 5th or 9th or wherever he chooses to be time wise.
  6. at that level coming off winter is not an excuse. Same as WT guys racing TDU or UAE in jan/Feb. No difference, you prepare for the job required. Matt came out of SA summer to dead winter coming to race Santa Vall in Feb in Girona. Seemed to do pretty well under the condition changes.
  7. He has 4 wins, 2022 was won Baum and Egger Matts wins are: 2021/23/24/26
  8. Thank the heavens that is over
  9. Stop typing
  10. Her commentating as a whole leaves much to be desired.
  11. Times have changed somewhat in women's cycling, yes some are earning nothing on a smaller team but then so are some men. Ladies on WT are earning a good wage, some close to a Million euros a year and a good domestique is on around 150-250 thousand euro a year.
  12. If the route is shorter, are the women real mountain bikers then and are they only allowed half a tattoo on their calves? I have alot of these questions in my head now.
  13. Sauna im not a supporter of, or I dont prescribe sauna, I do on bike indoors personally and seen much better results.
  14. if you dont learn year on year then you cant expect a different result. Im sure he did heat acclimation at home.
  15. You can do a 2hr hard session and returned a higher or equal TSS value than a 4 hour ride., it's how you got to that value. Same reason as you dont train ever to a tss score. thats not coaching, its aiming for a score. I understand what you saying, dont totally disagree but I dont think routes or race distances should be based on these metrics which are not totally accurate. Fatigue is fatigue but then do all women even those in group F do the short route or the full epic? Making route shorter typcially means more intense and aggressive,(this would have a higher than normal short route ride TSS if we looking at this metric but a higher IF.) the same people will win and it would be interesting to see the difference in actual load and intensity in the shorter route now vs intensity in the longer race. Example of a 3 hour mountain stage at the Tour, 5wkg for the duration vs 3.7wkg for a longer stage in the mountain of 5hrs. At the end of the day if the level of entries is not there, the racing wont change.
  16. 2 x diuretics.
  17. I believe Arron Borril is on a plane as I type this to partner Matt Beers.
  18. 3 bike mechanicals and changes and was sitting on Meeus wheel waiting for the sprint. Both were to far back. Jasper was strong, just badly placed in final.
  19. Won everything single GC on 1 week stages at WT level other than Suisse and pretty much the most successful week long stage racer in the world to date. 4 x Vuelta 1 x Giro 2 x Dauphine 2 x Catalunya 2 x Basque 2 x Romandie 1 x Paris Nice 1 x Tirreno Adriatico 1 x UAE Tour To name a Few Call me a complete novice if I am wrong but I think he can race a week or 2
  20. Unfortunately thats a yes
  21. Just to confirm you are aware this list of riders have to Partner with Matt Beers??
  22. Sure we all know what 17yr olds are like in today's times, this is no secret, social media is proof of this. HOWEVER no matter what any 17yr old does, sends, provides etc to Grown Adult, married with Kids, there is an ethical responsibility on the correct way to act in this situation. Just cause your friends jump in the fire, are you? That is where this all comes into play and HIS actions whether started or not with the responsibility as a coach to young kids - they are kids. There is no defence to that. There is alot more info and proof going around on this than defending here.
  23. Not to defend Albrecht here but it is common to hear that this is his sale pitch to kids and clients. Seeing that his wife is the front of his coaching and he is still coaching through her I would presume its a matter or time until its found out. these things always come to the surface.
  24. FFS this oke is gift that keeps on giving if he claims he is the most qualified. I’ve read a lot of **** in my life but this is right up there. He clearly missed the chapter on ethics during his process to be the most qualified coach in South Africa
