  1. Help please ! I have a 2014 Fox CTD boostvalve rear shock (Momsen Vipa tune) on the rear of my Vipa and a new Rockshox Reba up front (100mm). I have the Rockshox remote lever for this 2019 version which takes cables to both fork and shock, but only two positions. Can I use this for my Fos CTD shock that has 3 settings and just use 2 of the settings eg Trail and Climb? Also are the CTand D exact "click" positions or are they all just gradients- then I could select any 2 positions I like. Also would that be bad for the shock? Many thanks for your help.!
  2. Hi all I sent my Fox Re:Aktiv shock off my Top Fuel 9.9 to the agents last week to get a service and requested them to change the direction of the cable so it would be from the bottom and not the top to fix the loop-die-loop that it comes standard. I refitted it last night, put on the cable and then realized it has now converted the shock to a push-to-unlock instead of push to lock which is a bit of a problem as my fork and shock are now opposites... My question: is it possible to have the cable coming from the bottom with the shock as push-to-lock? I have attached some pictures of how it comes standard and my converted shock. The original Shock with cable direction: My current shock with the conversion:
  3. Unfortunately I get to see the worst of the worst! What is the worst you have ever seen. Thought I would share a couple of photos to illustrate the effect of not servicing your equipment on a regular basis! All that dirt, grit, grime and fine dust creates a very fantastic sanding paper effect!
  4. After doing some reading about the extra volume that EVOL offers in Fox's range of shocks, I'm not 100% clear on what the nett effect would be for your average rider. To those in the know: What are the pros and cons of running a shock with EVOL vs the same model without EVOL? I understand how the extra volume improves small bump sensitivity, but does this come with a trade-off of the shock feeling "less firm" or sacrificing efficiency? Recently ditched my Epic for a Camber which came fitted with a: FOX FLOAT Performance, Rx Trail Tune, AUTOSAG, DPS damper, rebound and 3-position compression adjust, 205x53mm" I weigh approx 95kg and opted for the Camber because it bring much more comfort and trail capability than the Epic, but doesn't sacrifice too much efficiency for longer marathon-style races and the occasional tar outing (one bike for all applications kinda vibe). Is an EVOL aircan upgrade for the shock something worth considering?
  5. Hi all, Looking at buying a Scott Spark 920 2013. Really keen on the Twinloc system but the bike doesn't come with one. Is one able to re-install the system and where would one find a system? The fork and shock on the bike are a Fox 32 Float 29 Evolution CTD Air 100mm and Fox Float RL 100mm. Thanks for the help.
  6. If you take a couple steps back and look at the advancements in mountain bike technology that have happened in the last few years, you’ll see an astonishing amount of progress. Think about it: You don’t need many fingers to count the bike brands without carbon-fibre offerings; 1x drivetrains are the norm, not the exception; bikes without dropper posts are more or less limited to dedicated XC and DH racers; and your garden variety, solid-pedaling trail and enduro bikes are more capable descenders than full-blown downhill race bikes of the early 2000s. Yet despite the sport’s progression, frame and suspension manufacturers continued to hold on to modes of thinking that were, frankly, outdated. Click here to view the article
  7. Ok so here is the deal, was checking my bike today after a bit of a rough ride on the weekend, and found this (see pic). Before I go and scare the daisies out of myself on the replacement cost for a Spez rear shock, do you think its broken beyond repair.
