I never heard about Take2 before till now....will check it out

Take2 are excellent and now the offer an Amazon portal. They handle all the duties and clearance so the price you see is the price you pay. To top it off, they give free delivery on orders over R350.

Our office gets at least 1 parcel a week from Take2 and in the 4yrs we have yet to have a problem.

The secret to the Amazon portal is to go to Amazon US site, filter on Amazon stock since they have 3rd parties selling through them and then build up your wish list. Got to Take2 and enter in the correct description as per Amazon and then order. With the expection of the Kindle, its way cheaper. Takes 10-18 days for item to be deliverd to your house :)

Be careful, Take2 Amazon portal is addictive and I'm addict :) I do 1-2 purchases per month and I just cannot stop.

Understatement. I've placed about 5 orders the past 3 months. My last order is a Flash tutorial book, 2x Thomson stem caps and 2x xbox replacement faces. How diverse is that that order. All for just over R360 and shipping is free. For those prices I'm willing to wait a month for delivery. Before that I got the Despicable Me Blu-ray a whole month before it was released here.

i dont find any bike parts on take2

Click and then search under the "More UK" or "More USA" tabs. Those are Amazon purchases. Just note that it is most of the time not cheaper.

Ha ha! I was introduced to the online bug by a friend. Deal Extreme got me started and helped me "hone" my skills. Mostly gimmicky stuff but some useful stuff. I have now progressed to Take2. Guess I betyter watch my spending...

I always give my LBS a chance to quote before I buy online. In most cases he more or less matches and some times is able to better online prices. I won't fight over a few rand but there are occasions when online price is half and it would be silly to buy locally. He understands that and appreciates the opportunity to quote.

Bought a Revelation XX World Cup last week at R9k - CRC would have been R9.2k when VAT is added - and now the warranty is local.

The moan gatte will probably go straight to their LBS to have the CRC goodies fitted and when they break still try get the warranty sorted locally...

If you buy CD's - try: www.cdwow.com - they do make the local CD industry look like profiteers!!

You started the rant and got your bib shorts all in a twist.

I hope you had a good ride and feel better now.

Back now, SA won and the ride was cool.

Bib untwisted.

After all the rant about LBS ripping people of and online being the way to buy, I walked into Solomons in Woodmead yesterday and WITHOUT FAIL, EVERY SINGLE ITEM I was considering getting from CRC and having a friend bring to me end of March was a couple of HUNDRED rand cheaper at Solomons!!!!

cool, so buy from them! I don't see the issue? You buy where the best prices are, thats the point.

Could it possibly be that they have become so competitively priced because of places like CRC and CWC?
