For emergency fix, yes. Still got to repair puncture properly once you are at home. They do not stick forever. Must also roughen up the patch area a bit to get better adhesion. I have used them before, got me back home.

I have them in a little ziplock bag with a piece of sandpaper at the bottom of my tubby bag, they will come in useful someday.

Been using parktool self adhesive patches on skinny tubes. Doesn't take up a lot of space, works faster than normal patches and does a good job.

As mentioned though, they aren't an permanent solution.

Agreed that they do not last, but they do get you home/to the finish. Patched tubes in general are not a permanent solution!

They don't like South African heat while being in your tubby bag though - the adhesive 'melts' on the non-stick backing so what you could end up with is a big welded mess of patches when you come to needing them! Now I keep mine insulated in a bit of newspaper inside a small ziploc bag

I was about to spend R100 on some really "porno" and I really mean PORN as in XXX patches when after reading up on them I released they are not worth it. My neighbour tried them out a while back and it was only great to get him home.

I just stick to my R15 patch 'n solution
