Easy Entry Tickets

I heard that WPPPA is thinking of stopping the use of easy entry tickets at fun rides because people are printing pirate tickets and using them at fun rides.

In future only on-line entries and late entries will be accepted.

Is this a further reflection of the country we live in?

What is so difficult to identify the culprit?

 

1) You have to show your lappie number at the table when entering the easy entry card? Dont you?

2) You than identify the card and look at the race number on it.

3) You than get the owner of the lappie number into the office to explain

4) You remove his record from the results, bann him for a year

5) You take the lappie, walk to the toilet and flush

 

or... do I miss something?

 

or you put this in place:

1) You have to show your drivers licence or ID when giving a easy entry

2) If you are to young, you dad or mom have to show theirs

 

or... do they realize the race numbers is down, and going down race by race, rather get more money?

It gets worse than this . Someone has forged these easy entry tickets and is selling books of tickets to unsuspecting cyclists to make a quick buck.

Agree with Popeye - the tickets are traceable. Don't think the rumour is true.

Me and my dad share the easy entry booklets....as I do more races than him....there is a code on though, and it has a PPA stamp at the back of each...
