“The Gozen’s I received were the ‘Frozen Ash Multilaser Red’ edition and they weighed no more than 1 ounce! I was extremely impressed at the weight right off the bat. The frame is light grey and has removable pieces to change out up to 8 different sets of lenses.

 

One morning I went out for my standard bike ride around the Parkand wore them. They fit my face perfectly and I almost didn’t know they were there. One huge plus is the spectacular clarity of the lens. Another thing of note was that the wind didn’t come through the glasses, causing my eyes to water as some outer brands have done by allowing too much air over or under the frame edges.

 

My main test of their product was the New York City Marathon.

 

The race began at 9:40Am and the sun was already getting high, casting a strong autumn beacon across the Verrazano Bridge. The Gozen’s (almost unnoticeable on my face) were doing a fantastic job bouncing the light back. This was especially helpful in the final 5 miles of the race as the sun shines directly off of 5th Avenue and can be blinding at times.

 

Another great aspect of their design was that, unlike my othershades, the sweat from my brow didn’t cast down across the lenses. To me thisis a major benefit. I can’t tell you how many times my old sunglasses got blurred and dirty from sweat dripping down.

 

For 26.2 miles I gave these shades a run for their money. Not once did they annoy me, or start to chafe or irritate any part of my head they touched. In fact, they didn’t move around at all and were locked in position the whole time.

 

If you are a triathlete, biker or runner looking for lightweight shades with interchangeable lenses these are a two thumbs up. “
