According to the latest Tygerberg MTB newsletter:

An exciting new Dual-Slalom track is taking shape at Nitida. Carefully sculpted high-side berms are being crafted to teach the youngsters (or anyone really!) how to handle their bikes around the twisty track. Expect it to be finished within two weeks, ready for the first Tygerberg Dual Slalom Challenge Cup!

Hey man I dunno sounds more like a kiddies track to me, could be wrong but quoting the section just below:

Nitida will shortly fulfill it's role as the Junior, Novice and beginner destination of choice, offering a selection of easy to moderate obstacles for all to hone their bike handling skills before venturing out onto the 'grown-up' trails.

With grown-up trails they mean XC trails around like Hillcrest etc so yeah

yeah, also thought it's be more like a pump track for kids. Not really the type of place (trails are for beginners, predominantly) that's going to put in huge doubles and hips :)

Quoting from Tygerberg MTB's newsletter:

DUAL SLALOM on a mountainbike? Oh yes you bet! We are busy busy busy with an awesome super duper Slalom track at Nitida. Anybody ever done Slaloms? Well, I'm building so any novice can ride it and the maniacs can race it as a challenge! So no excuses. 1st race may well be in 2 weeks so stay tuned & READ your newsletters! *~*

It has a bi-cross over/under and starts on top of a ramp *~* roughly 500metres of sheer exhilaration but will measure it precisely.

got this off the news letter

Join us this Saturday afternoon 12.00 for the grand opening of the new Dual Slalom track at Nitida.

The engineers have been hard at it this week digging out the tracks and building the berms.

There is no formal competition, but you might like to see how quickly you can cover the 300m course!

Fun prizes for the guys, gals, girls and boys. We need a volunteer or two to help with timekeeping, starter's orders etc.
