there are a few us meeting at 6:30 Chelmsford rd on Tuesday this week because wednesday morning is looking very wet.

Let me please add that a reasonable level of climbing fitness is required for the Wednesday ride (The one looking to be Tuesday this week) not race snake speed, but at least fair.

Another good turnout this morning in perfect conditions.

Normally it's just 2 or three of us who ride to the Blockhouse, but this morning the whole group decided to give it a go and then proceeded to ride along the top contour path, back to Tafelberg Road.

A couple of mechanicals along the way split the group up and guys were getting to Deluxe in dribs & drabs.

Is it legal to ride that contour path? I've heard rumours from some people that if they catch you, they fine you R500?

I've gotten a warning but never actually a fine, similar to the piece of singletrack on signal hill.

What is your fitness like?

I am ok i think, only started MTB like a month ago, do about 80KM a weekend and spin 2 or 3 times a week.

a few years back I rode road bike hard core, did a 2,39 argus if that is any indication
