08 Synapse Carbon Record SL Team Liquigas

Members: what are your thoughts on the 2008 Cannondale Synapse Carbon Record SL Team Liquigas.  If you had the opportunity to acquire this machine, what would you do?

If you want a Carbon 'dale, what about the Super Six? Full carbon and definatily ligther. Even Christie (aka the anti-dale) likes this one

As far as I know the Synapse is more of a relaxed/cruising around frame, while the System6/Super6 is the racing frame. So the frame choise would depend on what you want to do with it.

Synapse - nice bike, but too many colours on this one, and lets face it, apart from having 2 wheels, the most important thing on the bike is the colour/s. I suppose your kit will always match your bike, so theres a plus, but the SuperSix looks much better.

Maybe we need a HubStyleMan ruling?

Yip, the Synapse is from their "Performance" range, not their "Elite".  I also once quoted those specific colours as one of the fugliest.  Not because it is the worst, but combine it with anythin other than the Liquigas team kit and you will look like something the cat brought in and brought up again!

 

The reb/black and black/silver combinations of the SuperSix is much better.  Hell, even that white and orange combination looks streets better (IN MY OPINION OF COURSE)

Thanks for the input: no couch photo as considering acquisition, do not have the bike yet.  I must confess that although the colour scheme is a bit busy, I find it hard to resist.  However, the SuperSix also looks the part and far less noisy.  Is this version available in RSA? - my LBS tells me that will only be available in 3months time: are they BSing me?  GEEF2007-11-17 00:38:30

GEEF, bought mine from Westdene, although admittedly its only 1 of 3 in the country at the moment. (Other two owned by Crux and Scalpel). I think 3 months is too long, I heard next container will be here early Jan.

 

Have a look at the cannondale website, they have "busier" incarnations of the Super Six than mine.
