Wes: i used to like 661 gloves, until the crash revealed something I didnt think of. (this might be specific to my hand size, so I cant generalize.)

The glove doesn't extend very far down the wrist. It just barely cleared the palms. As you know, i'm a big believe of letting go of the h-bars when falling, and extending hands to help take the brunt of the impact. Unfortunately, doing that sometimes means you skid on your hands till the rest of your body impacts the ground. My one wrist was pretty well grazed, but the glove was hardly damaged. I checked my other gloves (A-stars and Fox), and they all have some good extension of the glove down the wrist.

It's not a biggie based on the fact we dont aim to fall, but a bad grazing can turn a small crash into a big deal. A glove can help prevent grazing damage to the wrists and palms of your hands.

I use the Raji's for XC stage racing because they offer full finger protection and are extremely cool. My hands get hot when riding, these are cooler then my FOX, Serfas, Giro and Spaz Half finger and they protection is better. The Raji don't have any padding on the palm or fingers so if you are looking for some padding then don't go with them. I prefer this glove over all the others I tried.

Raji is cool for XC or Marathon. They are thin and not hard-wearing, but can work for DH/FR/AM if you don't mind replacing every so often. Comp is a great glove. Harder wearing with a lot more protection in case of offs.

Both are great though.

How much are the Raji?

How do 661 compare to the Giro full finger?

I just ordered a Giro Remedy - will feedback on what they like as soon as they arrive...
