If any of you have time (and preferably a back up vehicle) the down hill on the otherside of Black mountain is wow.

The last 10 km's are not steep and follow a growing stream.

Tremendous input. Thanks guys.

Will be there Friday 27 May for an attempt at the Summit the next day. Paid and taken the day off so am in no rush.

Yip, think it was you I saw going up when I was coming down. Road conditions not as good this time with ice on the road from the warm weather. Plenty loose stones, and one puncture. 4 and a half up (again!) and 65 down - with ice and puncture. No Maluti at the top which was terrible! Enough Sani for me now!

Did the Sani Transfrontier race in 2009 with a rigid fork. Only really pushed a couple of hundred meters from the top when I lost traction.

 

Finished in 3:46 and lost 17min on the downhill cause of the rigid.
