Lou Zealand Posted April 19, 2011 Share Down in Hillcrest for Easter and the following week. Anyone know of any morning group rides based around this area that would have no objection to an additional cyclist joining them?

Grebel Posted April 20, 2011 Share Contact Cycle Lab Hillcrest. Speak to Tania. 031 765 7807 +1 or get to Delcairne Centre (in Kloof next to Standard Bank) to leave at 4:30-5am. There is always a group of some description leaving from there with coffee at Nino's when you get back. Don't worry, us durbanites don't bite. I am sure they will let you join the fun. Mr Price also ride from there and from Westville somewhere I believe. Not sure of the contact details though. If you want to travel, East Coast Pedal Power ride from Suncoast if I remember correctly or you can join Cycle Sphere for their rides from the shop. Options, options...! They leave from the BP petrol station next to SPAR, my boss rides with them chaps. I can speak to him that some guy might pitch up if needed, they are pretty fast paced. I thought they were with Bring It On. We pass them on the way back to Delcairne.

Spent the last 16 years in RSA. The first four in PMB, the last two in JHB and all the rest in the Outer West. Know Delcairn well - sent my eldest to St Mary's DSG Kloof before we moved. The only biting I'm worried about is snake bites
Spartan SL Posted April 20, 2011 Share There are rides leaving from Oscars (Hillcrest) at 05h30 Friday (small group) and 05h30 on Saturday (larger group). Both rides are heading inland on the Amashova route and around Lion Park. Mainly consisting of Mr Price club riders. Medium pace, +/- 3hrs with a stop off in Camperdown for coffee. Rides for the following week will be discussed on the Saturday ride. There's also a ride organized by Marty's Cycles leaving Suncoast Casino at 05h30 on Friday going out to Stanger and back. Medium pace +/- 5hrs. Some riders will turn at Balito for a +/- 3hr ride.Bring It On Cycles usually depart from the Spar in Kloof at 05h00 on the weekends for their rides. Depending on the group these can be either medium or medium/hard rides. Edited April 20, 2011 by Spartan SL
