Like Eye Candy said...The best place is park in the cradle, by Teak or Toadbury hall or Avianto and ride the 32km loop out there.

There are 100's of cyclist that ride that route every weekend.

Big shoulder on the road to ride in.

park at rietvlei by the zoo farm.

go for the 40k roadie loop, or for starters, just a few kays out & back.

when you're back, she can have chock chip muffins & cuppucino while you take the MTB to the rietvlei tracks.

Send her to the beginners clinic at the Lab, will do her the world of good.

+1

Did the beginners clinic and would recommend it. While she's off with the beginners you can ride a 50-80km loop and meet her back for a coffee/brunch. Very civilised...

Only go for the tandem if you looking to end your marriage... :P

Take her to the beginners clinic at Cycle Lab. I can't remember the name of the guy who runs it, but he's brilliant.

She just needs to be there at the Club ride on Saturdays (07:00 at this time of year) at the Cycle Lab in

Fourways. The beginners meet at the step of the shop and go for a ride around the suburbs.

Email Carri-Ann Botha (club@cyclelab.com) for more details...

go mtb rather. It is cruel to expect a newbie to start on road. Maybe you are wanting to save on divorce lawyers fees? (doing a Dewani?)
