Snail named after Steve Irwin One of the world's slowest moving creatures has been named in honour of the late crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin.Queensland Museum scientist Dr John Stanisic has named the rare species of tree snail crikey steveirwini.The snail was found in the mountainous regions of north Queensland's wet tropics, near Cairns.
