Tankman Posted September 1, 2011 Share ... rolled effortlessly over large obsticles ... ...while the 29er is faster over rough terrain... Have just replaced my 26er with another one, the 29er is not for me Funny, does it really roll better? Yesterday, coming through Eden towards Coetzenberg, where you go down that rocky section, graveyard or boulders (whatever it is called), the dude in front of me hops off and walks his 29er down. I carry on and ride the section down all the way on my 26er and I am a roadie FFS. If I can do it on my 26er, would I be able to do it on a 29er or would I also get "hoogtevrees" on a 29er? Lance was right about one thing, its not about the bike ... its about the guy on the bike.
