I've blocked the ad - it should disappear within the next 20 mins.

Most of these subscription service type ads are blocked but occasionally some do come through Google Adsense. If you see any fishy ads please report them so that we can block them.

Thanks :)

I thought the new consumer act would put an end to that bull****, But yeah admin not good form to have savory banners on the hub.

Unfortunately these kind of banners can sneak through via Google Adsense. Generally we see fairly well targeted and 'high quality' ads (if you can call them that) coming via Adsense. We have a degree of control over the categories of ads which are displayed, but ads are not pre-approved on our end we can't always be sure of what comes through.

The lack of control over Adsense ads isn't ideal, but it does serve as a good filler for any unsold ad inventory. At the end of the day advertising income is what keeps The Hub afloat.

But as mentioned above - if you do see any unsavory banners please send me a link or a screenshot and we'll block them right away.

Eish, did they just catch you?

Luckily not, spotted the daily subscription and thought to warn the rest of hubland!

Thanks for removing it Admin!

Well played Sir, Ever tried some of the more promenet companies like doubleclick where you can actually specify what you want to hit your site? I understand your pain though :D
