Hey guys

I have not ridden my bicycle since the Argus and have entered the 60km MTB race this coming Saturday at Midrand.

Does anyone know the route etc? How will the recent rains affect it?

What is the profile like? I cannot find additional info on the internet.

Thanks guys!!

I'm also entered and am similarly clueless.

What makes matters worse is that I've agreed to ride the 60k race on my single speed.

This is a great race for a SS - I did the first one on mine. If you have a rigid fork be a bit careful of the rock garden about 8km into the race - I crashed my ass off there!

34x17 is a great gear for a 29er...

Hey Guys

Did the first one earlier ths year. Its a good ride with surprisingly loads of single track. The climb arent too serious eithier.

Last time the 60km was a double lap of the 30 so its perfect if you worried about over extending yourself, you can turn in after the first lap.

There were some river crossings which werent great last time from heavy rain as well but the organisers did a great job at adjusting the route and ensuring we were safe, so it didnt detract from the ride.

Good luck. See you there
