ja, i'm surprised they didn't advertise it a bit more. i didn't know about it till sunday morning, when they gave me a flyer at the gate.

nothing wrong. they just need to make some ajustments to the cables.

i was there sunday afternoon and it was great. stayed mostly on the jeep track, doing some singletrack here and there.

There is plenty of single track now in Groenkloof ! I think there is more single track than jeep track .

i don't know if it's just me, but i found the animals are getting less skittish as well. on sunday morn, at the top of the hill (just before the downhill switchbacks, where you cross the jeep track, i stopped and waited for the mob to arrive. a zebra walked right up to a puddle not three metres away from me and took a drink ?

? then the loud and inane babblings of scotty, ewep and danger dassie came down the trail and scared him (yes, a him, had a look) away.

ps. jldam, i didn't include you above cos you've still got bikes i want to rideWinkLOL

i came down one of those jeep track and was surprised by the bokkies running away. i did not realise they would be so close to the road and i must have scared them.

i try to apologise, but i dont think they were interested...... i felt really bad.

The bokkies not so much but the Zebra's sometimes wanna play with and they will run next to you and cross right in front of your bike . Most of the animals don't even look up anymore when a bike comes past . We stopped right next to a few girafes at the top of onion hill the other day and they did not even look in our direction .

dr, that reminds me of mashatu. while whacking it along a ridge, there was a herd of wildebeest running alongside us. they would cross if front of us, then wait up ahead and get going when we caught up. went on like that for about 5kays.

On "the" cycling show the other day they were commenting on a race and mentioned the dual single track. I'm sorry, it's called jeep track.

If you can get so close to the animal, I need to go there.
