Nic0000 Posted August 8, 2011 Share I think where brand loyalty comes in is that its pretty hard to tell a good frame from an average one, esp when it comes to carbon frames. So what do you do? Buy the name you know I guess. I ride a Wheeler which aint that popular in RSA. The frame is super stiff and she goes really well but there was no guarantee of that when I bought it. I guess you gotta ask yourself, how much must you save to counter the risk of a brand you don't know?

intensebb Posted August 8, 2011 Share Hi there New bike brands do pop up every now and again. The reason (in my opinion) is twofold, either they want to make a quick buck or they want to bring in cheaper alternatives to the very expensive bikes in the market but at the same quality. Intense Cycling will be introducing Velocite Bikes from the end of this month that is the same quality as the rest but at a much better pricing structure. Jip, the duty etc do play a big role and we are going to be doing our damnest to keep things intact. We will advise when and where they can be viewed at. We offer a full warranty on all the bikes we bring in. Yes hard to trust a new brand, but we are confident that these bikes will stand the test of time.
