I think I agree with Capricorn's predictions on the men's side.

 

The course suits Gee (just look at the time! of his 2008 run there...), but he'll only pull it off with luck, meaning if he doesn't snap his wheels, derailleur, seatpost, [add random component here] in half. The guy's brutal on equipment, but fast when stuff holds up!

three ppl i'm eyeballing for this race: T-Bos, The Human Pinball, and the Leprechaun, Ben Reid.

i know you cant read into it .... but Wildboy Hart went fastest in timed practice (even though he missed the course walk on wed cus he rocked up a day late forgetting that its a triple header so course walk is a day early)

 

But looking at the speed of Brosnan through some of these section ... id say easy top 10 ... maybe even on the box!

 

But you look at the one shot of Gwin thats on Vital ... 2 wheel drift around a HUGE stump ... that okes on another level right now ...

what a way it would be to end his jnr years, for T-bos to rock the box. If sam hill doesnt recover form, I'll hazard that T-Bos is the one to dethrone Gwin. His development has been incredible. Next nearest jnr is still in diapers in comparison.

talking about juniors... south african, tiaan odendaal, 16byears old, is taking part as well. he placed about 70th overall in PMB. lets see how he fares in the big game at a course away from home...

Ya i hope Tiaan qualifies .... He not the only SAFFER thats over there either ... there are about 10 SAFFERS in the mix ... there were like 800 entries!!!

NO WAY .... the worldwide loudhailer that is Twitter has just said that Gwin was 5sec UP on Minnaar at the FIRST split! .... and ends 16sec up on Minnaar .... WTF!!! thats insane!
