Lilo Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Where can I find the best insurance with the best services??? Any ideas? Lilo2007-12-03 05:23:49
Thug Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 As far as I'm aware, both Cyclesure and Pedalcare are underwritten by the same Company. Only diff between the two is that Pedalcare have 100% higher excess than Cyclesure but at a reduced premium. The Thug2007-12-03 05:30:25

[/quote'] As far as I understand it Cyclesure is an SA Eagle product and Pedalcare is underwritten by Santam. Pedalcare gets my vote - better service and backup and run by a cyclist.

Sean Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Hoeveel kos dit omtrent? My last quote from Cyclesure was R165 pm for a total insured value of around R20,000, including all the usual liabilities etc. Importantly you are covered while training and racing.
roadguy Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I would say that cyclesure are a poor option. they have given me alot of problems recently with my claim. bike insured for 29000!, annual premiums are about 3200, I've been with them for a good few years and never claimed before and they are only willing to pay out about a third of my claim (about 15000) for damage in a recent race.
Riccardo Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 The cover offered by Cyclesure and Pedalcare is basically identical, save for the excess. If you are a regular claimant, then the better choice would be the company with the lower excess, but it is important to determine what the actual excess difference is,when compared to the premium.Cyclesure is a product developed by SA Eagle(now Zurich).Pedalcare is a product created by a person in the short term industry, who approached Santam as the Underwriter. The above information is factual.
AfreekduSoet Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Investec, covers R50k if racing or training.

Riccardo Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Hoeveel kos dit omtrent? Dit hang af van die waarde van die viets.

ffly Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 When I obtained quotes from both Cyclesure and Pedalcare, their excesses were both 10% of the claim with a minimum of R500 (Pedalcare) and R250 (Cyclesure). Could this be the 100%? higher excess. Cyclesure had an additional excess for wheels as well.
ffly Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 The quote from Pedalcare on R20k was R118.00 - also including racing and training.
