It was the best part of the day, they rode a circuit of roughly 15 odd kms, slightly undulating and the teams were jockeying for position at the front as the pace was steaming, mostly Sky, Liquigas, BMC and Astana were present.

The leadout was bad from Sky and they lost Cav in the bunch with about 2km to go, Greenedge got the lead and they were motoring, Cav was largely boxed in and the small bunch was weaving all over, Cav saw a gap took it and was accelerating up the pack when Ferrari switched lanes and took him out, Greenedge never faltered and took the win.

Why dont you PVR it on RAI, dont bother with SS they will just irritate you and you will miss half the race.

Thanks, just watched it on youtube but was in Italian

   Now I know why most of you prefer the Giro.

Why didn't Cav just shout "Hold your line! Hold your line!"? Seems to work for everyone else ...

Phinney & BMC will roll off last...

The remainder of the starting order is decided by the teams classification, with the lowest placed squad Ag2r-La Mondiale kicking off proceedings at 15:25 local time. Teams set off at three-minute intervals thereafter, with leading squad Garmin-Barracuda the penultimate team down the start ramp at 16:25, before Phinney and BMC set off at 16:28.

Sky will be the penultimate team to go, Garmin just before them.

...wonder how Phinney is gonna do in the TTT with his eina foot.

He made special adjustments to his shoe and can barely walk on it.

Hmmm....

Ferrari's team made a statement that he is to publicly apologise to Cav and other riders at the beginning of today's stage.
