Showa a side I never knew existed at Spaz. Have always thought of them as a mass maker and marketer of bikes. Clearly they have employed some creative people in the past and present.

You will be blown away when you meet their team of engineers and developers, they are beyond marketing.

I spoke to Mike Sinyard on that trip to Morgan Hill.

On that day we rode MTB's around a reserve in Silicon Valley.

Computer companies galore, and only the innovators thrive.

Mike made it very clear to me that "Innovate or Die" is what the brand is all about, they want to survive and not die, they really want to give the public the best.

They start work earlier than they should and even knock off later, all this so they can do a lunch time ride as a company.

These okes are die-hard fans of the sport of cycling.

Although not always a fan of the bikes, I have been impressed with the R&D and bravery of the innovations they have introduced over the years. On Roam, there is a special feature on how they design their mountain bikes. One of the engineers decribes how he starts off the process by pulling out a big box of Lego Technic bricks.

The new Shiv is not UCI compliant and marketed to be very aero efficient.

Designed for the triathlete as the pro cyclists will be fined by the UCI police.

Real breakthrough initiative by Spez which will prob corner the market.
