Force FIeld. Protect your Bike from UFO's

I have a little product I am putting into the market called Force Field. It's a packet of clear vinyl patches which you stick to your frame to protect against stones and other debris, cable chafe and general wear. Won't discolour, very strong and easy to apply. I have had them on my carbon bike for well over a year and when you pull the patch off, the frame looks brand new.

The patches are hand cut by a group of adults with intellectual disability in Cape Town and part of the proceeds of each pack sold will go Altasorg (021 913 2410).

Each pack contains: 2 circular (25mm diameter), 2 rectangular (70x30mm), 1 rectangular (120x40mm). This is enough for all main areas.

Anyone interested ,please let me know.

you know when you have a get rich quick plan and then see an ad for it 10 minutes later...

Dunno what exactly you mean by this?

Seems to me the OP is doing a good thing, and offering a product that may have value to some cyclists.

Maybe he could add some info on pricing and the home that the proceeds go to, but why not try giving the benefit of the doubt?

I am sorry for not giving you the price yesterday. I had the idea for these patches when I found some off-cuts which I used to cover my own bike. I have let the project lie for almost a year, but approached Altacare 3 weeks ago to see whether they could cut the patches by hand. Being intellectually challenged, the workers are not able to cut the patches as precise as a machine, but I would like to think they have done a good job under the circumstances.Once the patches are applied, they are virtually invisible and most of us will probably cut the longer patches into smaller pieces anyway. I will send all of you who responded to this thread (behind my reply) a free pack to test them and give me your feedback. PM me or contact me on zulurob@iafrica.com and give me your postal address. If you are in Cape Town you can also come past my office and collect a pack. :D

Altacare don't know what to charge me for their cutting work and have asked me to make them an offer. So what I thought would be best is to work out my cost on the pack and then give them a % of each pack sold. My aim is to put this patch kit into the market at a MUCH lower price than the imported stuff and hopefully sell loads through all the bike shops.

I have got some longer pieces too , ideal for the down tube. 255x45mm. These are sold individually.

I will have a price for the packs and individual pieces within the hour.

Can people buy 10000's

Don't know whether that is a tongue in cheek question, but if I can get more off-cuts and the demand is there, I will certainly try to sell 1000's.
