So how many of you ( or if you know of someone ) bought a 29er to see if the hype is whats its made out , then did not like the bike and sold it to get a 26" again ?.

Just curious.

This weekend I rode my beloved previous 26" (which I sold about 6 months ago) for couple of km. Again, like the previous time I took it for a spin, I could not wait to swop back to my new ride.

I will never try to convince someone that a 29er will be better for them, but for me it is and I will never go back (except perhaps for a 6"+ travel AM 2nd bike)

I'm a total 29er convert and will be buying a 26er soon....

...for me new track at home project

26er carve and jump better than 29ers.

Now if it would rain a bit - trying to clear grass from concretelike dirt of frikki9n hard work!

Some people clearly do not understand the question, the question was not if you still like your 29er

I bought a carbon 29er hardtail (not a noname brand), top of the range spec. Sold it about a month ago and I dont regret it one moment. I'm back on my morewood Zula. 29er did not make a difference whatsoever speed and timewise and and it was HARD. I know its a hardtail but some people told me that a 29er hardtail will be between a 26 hardtail and 26er dual, BS its hard!!.

This is just what I experienced my 2c and will not go into a argument about it.

Comparing a hardtail to a dual suspension bike is really not worth arguing about, you are correct....

I took my friend's specialized s works 29er for a ride a couple of days ago. I must admit that i really liked the ride. It climbs well (here i prefer the 26er if its not rocky), decents like a deamon and to my astonishment i loved it in the singletracks. It is a really forgiving ride.

You get much more trail feedback from the 26er which is cool but also tires you out. My conclusion is that the 29er is a great ride. I will not go out of my way to buy one immediately but when it is time for a new mtb i will probably buy a 29er.
