Pittstop Posted November 21, 2011 Share Looking at moving my Juicy's off my downhill bike onto another bike and looking at options on what to replace them with. Options at the moment are an older set of 2008 Avid Codes, then a slightly more expensive option of 2011 Codes or 2012 XT brakes. banna Posted November 21, 2011 Share I've got the new XT's and my riding partner has Codes. XT's maybe have a bit more "feel". Codes look a bit cooler for a DH bike I'd say. I'm wanting some limited edition X2's... then I'd posibly save the limited edition green bits, and replace the piston cap and levers with the red ones. patches Posted November 21, 2011 Share yeah... braided hoses for sure! regular hoses on Hope brakes just look unnatural! You could always mix it up. The levers are the same... and then maybe run a M4 front, and a V2 rear. Like a superbike, hahaha! But yeah... as far as I know the V2's are more powerful than the M4s, even though they have half the pistons.
