See you on Orient beach 22 Jan. Look out for the steel bike with the gear shifters down on the frame just above the water bottle. It will be the only bike left on the bike racks by the time I get to it :angry:

No come on Henley dont be like that, you came with a problem and now we need to help you solve it. But first you need to admit / confront the real problem instead of blaming the (absence) of wetsuits.

 

Anyway I reacon its a safe bet that Orient beech will be cold enough to allow wetsuits?

05h30 same venue. We are doing one lap (45km) and then 10km run and a swim at Heie Safari afterwards and then breakfast.

 

Apparently the Hippo is gone.......... whatever that means.

I dare all the real IM to show up in EL for the 70.3 in Borat's swimming suit.....

Pity your not allowed to wear booties...

I sometimes train with swimming socks, they do make you a fair bit faster. So I'd say they would be a considerable advantage. I can't remember my feet being cold though. I think between 12-15 degrees is manageable, you get used to the cold after the first 5 mins or so. Main thing is to avoid getting a dull headache..!

Swimming socks shoul never be allowed. Real IM should in fact not be allowed to shave their legs.
