Ok so 24hr done this passed weekend and no 'racing' for us 'losers' till end of Jan (Fast One)

Popped passed my good mate Grumpy at CycleHub to shoot the breeze and he gives me a pair of road bike rim strips to try out, yes ROAD!

They work exactly the same as the MTB ones so 'skeem' I'll try firstly to fit it and try the 'high' inflation thing then ride them for a bit - see what happens ....

Anyone else tried or thought about these?

I have been riding tubeless on Shamal Ultras and Hutchinson Fusion 3's for over a year now. Absolute pleasure!

Only drawbacks are expensive tires, and the need for gorrila sized tire levers.

As a tip pinch the tire into the centre of the rim to allow enough room to snap it over the lip. Add sealant later through the valve.

the max's are 8 bar but I run around 7.2 in front and 7.6 in the rear.

Very comfy and great low rolling resistance

Oh and another thing... you may think they have not sucessfully sealed as they go down fast untill you give them a propper ride. Overnight they will be at 2 bar the next day if you dont ride them for 2-3km once fitted.
