Just some info that came out from our pre-race meeting last night:

This is a ChampionChip timed event, Racetec chips will not get you a time.

It's the green round chip, unless you were a runner (could be blue).

If you have any doubts about the validity of your chip, take it with to registration to test.

NO CHIP, NO PRIZE!! No exceptions!!

Late entries can be done at number collections

Licensed prize giving is at 10:30 and the main prize giving at 12:00

Please don't litter!!

So the later you start (later in groups) the bigger the groups.

Nopes, Excel tells me that the open/seeded groups are all 260. It is just AL that is smaller. Reasoning is most probably along the lines that most of the groups will break up in smaller ones, except the 'racers' in AL, hence a smaller group for them.

Disclaimer : I'm not involved with the race at all. I'm just a desk jockey who knows how to a.) copy & paste; b.) drive Excel

AL will be racing within the licensed categories, they start before the VC & Vet Ladies, so their bunch has to comply with "licensed" rules - max 150 riders per bunch.

A moerse big spanner, probably a bobbejaan, was tossed into my start plans.

Yes, you can enter at any of the number collection points, as well as on race day (although I'd advise to do it before).

thanks Gerald, i will go through to fourways tomorrow, just thought its better if i go to centurion to ensure a better start time ?? :)

You are correct about the better start time - if there is space in the group you're seeded for, otherwise it will be the next avaiable group.
