my verification - I usually invite this seller to my facebook account to see if its the same person before i make payments.

If it is an expensive purchase, i will arrange with guy to take it to a bike shop, and i phone the bikeshop before paym.

i like these suggestions... taking notes. i have sold quite a bit of stuff and quite amazed at the trust people have to put on you when paying for goodies on the other side of the country... i do my best to make it worth the nervousness the buyer goes through

WELCOME to the hub i think you spoke to soon... seeing you are both new to the hub... you maybe both have something to learn.seems the seller did not run but maybe had another buyer for wheels and fork. from experience if you have a good deal LOTS of guys contact you and it is difficult to keep track of interrested parties / serious buyers or browsers..

Thanx for the welcome!

True that, and that is def possible...

But i am on a few other forums and have sold and bought lots of stuff, and what you say is true of getting better offers and letting stuff go for a good price. But when that does happen i let all the interested parties know so they know where they stand, and i would have liked to receive the same. I have had many things sold out from underneath me, and that's fine, i take it as that item just was not meant to be mine, kind of like a blessing in disguise. I just like to be kept in the loop as to what is happening, or what has happened, but that's just me.
