Again thanks for the input but thats not very helpful becuse its not substantiated and its contradicting what earlier guys had to say , even though it may be them that are wrong.

 

Maybe it was an untypical frame , ie a team frame/factory frame or whatever I don't know but from what I can see is Colnago's were often anything but typical

Please oe's those that may not know much about this subject stop using google as your fountain of unverified knowledge.

Well it was your faulty reply , I was refering to

 

Some earlier posters clearly indicated that they recognise it to be a Colnago.

 

The frame lugs look right , they match what I can see on Colnago's - flowing motif kinda shapes. If only without the clover cut-out but rather an ace of spades looking cut-out , maybe that'll ring bells for someone

I would guess the frame is a Colnago.

1. Where would the Colnago fork come from? They are not so easy to get.

2. Bike looks a bit less like an original because it has been restored. CycleArt can't restore chrome work, they paint over it.

3. Colnago brought out some budget frames to try increase sales, on which they did not put the fancy lug details etc.

Realistic price for the bike? Imo around R1000 to R1500.
