Did the race last in 2004 Yeah, I haven't done it for a while either, I used to enjoy it, but it went through some troubled times and became a bit of a nightmare to be honest. I'll have a lookie see when the site is updated, I am a fussy entrant but if it fits my criteria, I think I'll go this year again.

I cant even get onto the website address I used before to e-mail event organizers. I believe the route is from Moses Mabida stadium, out to Pinetown then turn to Balito and back to stadium. It looks like the mtb race is happening, but I cant find anything about the Road classic.

I went on to the site using chrome and it just didn't happen - took me to some russian pool massage site, but I opened it in firefox and it worked. Site is www.tourdurban.co.za And the email addy you are after is andrew@impiconceptevents.com - I just mailed to see if I could get the route and if its still happening. Have you done the mtb before? Is it worth doing? Was thinking of doing both.. But would really like to do the road
ricochet_rabbit Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 (edited) website is working in Chrome.The route used to go up the M7 and down the M19 but I see there is a bit on there abt removing the Umgeni/M19 intersection (probably due to the road works) and that there is a "stretch through the streets of Westville" and registration is at gateway - 30k north of the start/finish venue....why so far away ?
