Hi,

So I have downloaded and installed the software.

Do I spend the $$rs to upgrade to the full version? Any comments of people who use it. I currently use WKO software.

Yes do the upgrade...its $35 US I think and you get to use your "key" on three pc's

If you don't get it, it will only keep 1 month's worth of data and you are limited to two plugins

I think it still keeps more than one month of data, but you cannot display more than one month of data in the summary pages.

The main reason to upgrade is to get access to more plug-ins, though the really good plug-ins are pretty pricey (5-15 EUR). Upgrading also allows you to track more than two equipment items.

At the moment, none :(. My PC with Sporttracks died and I haven't installed it on my laptop.

Off the top of my head, I had:

- Equipment plugin - mainly for tracking maintenance

- Weather plugin

- Garmin Fitness - until recently, the only way to create power-based advanced workouts for an Edge on the PC.

- CSV export

- Overlay plugin - I preferred CSV exporting to Excel for comparisons, though.

I think I had a few more, but those are the ones I remember using the most.

I have not used any plugins other than the elevation correction. In general I have not felt that I need any plugins, and I don't see the need to spend R270 on it, unless you really have a specific need.

See if it works for you as is, and if you find that there is something you want to do but cant, then consider upgrading. I have used the program for more than 18 months as is and I am still happy with it.

See DC rainmaker's answer on this question. You can just google it and you will find it.

do a search on sportrack and garmin, they were so impressed with Tankman's support they gave him a free upgrade.

personally I use the free version. Dont really need to see anything else other than my current data. I just ride and enjoy without having some plan for specific training. No fun in that if you "happen" to get a porridge wheel right next to the entrance of a wine farm and "need" to fone for help.

This makes sense, though I seem to recall Joker mentioning that he trains with power. He'd need to get a couple of the paid plug-ins in order to get similar power analysis functionality to a program like WKO+.

So I downloaded this software and right now I'm not impressed. First of all it does not support the Garmin Edge 500. it supports the Forerunner 305, edge 205,305,605 & 705 virtually all outdated and replaced with new models. Okay so I find an app that allows you to download directly from your device only to find that the datafile is too large and gives an error reading. My first impression is that this software is rather archaic and the only way to get value out of it is to buy more apps.
