We didn't do the whole route. Turned back up Adderley to get home early. Was a lekka ride, though. Weather was perfect, but getting hot towards the end.

It was a hard ride but enjoyable, realised my level of fitness Thanx for the company and if it was not for your bright light...there would have been less reflector beacons on Wellington rd.

Just got this via the interwebs:

Thank you for your entry to the 2012 Ninety Niner Road and MTB race!

We would like to let you know that there will not be a lucky draw prize for a car this year.

Should this impact on your decision to take part in the race please feel free to cancel your entry and you will be refunded your entire entry fee. This can be done by emailing queries@racetec.co.za before 7 February 2012 at 17h00. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

We encourage you to still cycle on Saturday 11 February as there will be other lucky draws, as well as medals, goody bags, food stalls and refreshments available.

We hope that you will continue to support this well-established and rewarding event.

Happy Cycling!

I never knew, they had a lucky draw for a ride. Nice.... What happened now?

Nothing, you still rock up for the race, and ride. Or did you enter for the lucky draw only? :D  :P

And to think, we cut out the "worst / hardest" section of the race. The true test of your fitness comes from the Silo's to the finnish.

Was lekka meeting you and riding with you. Yeah, my light did help quite a bit. Would have been really interesting if we had to Klipheuwel in almost total darknes.

Good luck with your training and the race (I'm not doing it, wimping out. :D )
