Hi Tim, got a friend doing her first mtb race (40km), took her out yesterday and she really struggled on the uphills. This will be my third, from the profile looks like we are doing the climb that previously came at the end, within the first 10kms??

Hi Tim

Who is the best to contact to find out if there are any entries available - people who cancelled etc for the race? Urgently looking for a marathon entry

Best would be to keep asking around on the Hub. If you find someone who is selling there entry then let me know and I will explain the substitution process.

The Mabalingwe Marathon is fairly similar to Clarens with regards to difficulty. There is more climbing but it is less technical.

There is a long drag at about 6km to split the field a bit, but the main climb around the Lion Park comes at about half way (20km). The rest is flat and fun. Enjoy

I got an entry - what should I now do for the substitution?

Ok, you need to get the original entrants details (name, ID, and race number) and take it to registration tomorrow or Wednesday. The ladies at registration will assist you with the transfer.

Note: There will not be any transfers at registration on the day at Mabalingwe.
