I have moved my XT rear derailleur to my wifes bike and cannot get it to operate properly.

It changes up and down perfectly in all gears.

It is a new XT cluster, chain and pulleys.

Under load the donnerse ding keeps snagging forward when not even changing gear.

Is it a factor of chain length that is not right or is it something simple

It is a F.S Trek

help before my wife donners me!!!

We can't help if we can't understand the problem. Perhaps if you describe things more accurately we can help. Leave out the bits about what make of chain, bike and RD you have on there. They're all the same when it comes to troubleshooting.

I thought I had explained it pretty accurately(minus a few choice words of course)

Vot I meen is,when under load(FS)the reaar DR jerks forward as if there is a probleemsh with the chain length.

However,we have discovered that the middle chain ring is fooked.

Soooo.Replaced it this morning...alles is reg.. so the NYD ride up Ou Wa Pad to watch the sunrise is happening.
