Have obviously pinched a nerve on my left hand, but have a permanent and light feeling of pins and needles in my left hand (pinky and ring finger). Have changed my grips and gloves, but does not seem to go away. Cannot afford to rest until beginning April and was wondering what other advice might be out there??

Google Ulnar nerve.

Your bars and stem length also come into play.

Its your ulnar nerve. I had to have a rib removed to sort it out. Grips and gloves wont sort it you will have to change your setup as you seems like you keep pinching the nerve when you cycle. If it doesnt go away go see a specialist. I went from pins and needles to being paralised in my ringfinger and pinkie unitl they released the nevre.

Experiencing the same thing slabs... Tingling in my right hand in the pinkie and ring finger! Searched the forums and found it to be a very common thing in cyclists!

Think I'll start with set up and see if it improves, if not a specialist like henry newbi recommended!

Do you have it only when riding or throughout the day - if the latter (and it gets worse when sleeping) it could be carpal tunnel syndrome. The tips of my fingers had constant pins and needles sensation. A nerve conduction test will confirm if this is indeed the case. Good luck

If its Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, get the operation done ASAP. I had it. The pain gets BAD. So much so I was almost in tears. My case of CTS was pretty bad. Recovery afterwards can take weeks or months for feeling to come back properly.

I have a similar thing, a consistent numbness in both hands from the pinkie down to the wrist. Have only ridden about 70km all year while focussing on running and it seems to get more pronounced while I run and when I text on my BlackBerry.

Thanks for al replies - will do some research. Funny thing it started after I took the side bars off the handlebars after one broke. Have also done plenty miles on the bike, so the setup cannot suddenly become a problem?
