Argus E group start. Anyone?

I know of riders who registered unofficial times of 5 secs under and 20 secs over the popular 3 hr mark.

On re-examination I've found that I was 49 seconds under 3hrs, According to Racetec's sms service

Well done to the front chaps of E. You guys were strong and the little congestion with C near Soetwater meant I lost the wheel and didn't have the legs to come back across. Chappies broke me proper. Struggled through to the top of Bossie as well. It certainly felt longer than any training ride this year!

Wow....ALL that talk. 5 of us worked like slaves to Smits! Where were all those with yappers!

You can't nail a sub 3 with 450 odd riders and only 5 workers!

See you all at Spring league.....or not!

Lordie not so much wind on the course but plenty on the hub and not much pedalling action on the day.

Nope he was riding up with me. I was the one with all the chirps, in the white and blue Falke top, on the Black Stevens, talking s...t with the tandem guys.

You guys freakin killed me and by the time i got to simonstown my legs were hurting and then as we started climbing i got a flat front wheel.......................downhill from there

Would have liked to have helped out, but there was no way through the pack from the rear half of it. Plenty of amateur moves being pulled and half a dozen crashes as a result so my priority adjusted to staying safe until things opened up. But I lost the front bunch in the confusion of meeting D/C back-markers at Chapman's.

Still, enjoyed my first Argus and the last 10km was good fun, at the front of a sprint line, Lost out on the dip for the line to a guy wearing a Vodacom jersey. 3.08 for me.

Ah cool. Good ride! I'm guessing you got the 3:03? So it was us doing the train pull effort from UCT along the blue route through to Smits then! I was the RE-CM kit chap on the black Scott.

Nope, ended with 3.10.....PISSED! Some chop came down in Noordoek just in front of me, lucky not to actually fall, but trying to untangle was a bi..ch. lost the few guys I was with......painful TT to finish line!

Not my day in the end......although I was really happy with the legs, just not the help.
