Seems like I might be the only hubber doing this race. Do anyone have a route profile, maybe from last year?

league ride so there'll be a few of us there, although this shoulder of mine is taking a while to recover after last week's crash... will have to see.

Is it general movement or is it lifting the arm above the shoulder outwards?

It took me a couple days to be 100% again - mine was lifting above the shoulder.

Doing both but putting more emphasis on the Wellington one as starting with friend amd family in Z for the bay city.

How is the climb in the middle of the race compared to hels?? Never done it before..

Nice 6:05 start time :o

It's nothing serious. Little bump initially, then flattens out and then it rises a bit again. But really, it's not a biggy. It looks bl**dy ominous lying in front of you as you approach it! And beware, you actually start climbing gently from the moment your cross the river...

And if "our friend" the wind is having a workout on the day, the real work lies ahead on the way back into it over the rollers.

range of movement is back to being able to extend above the shoulder, just discomfort when on the bike due to the small jarring motion of the handlebars - getting out the saddle is not really an option.

was concerned during yesterday morning's ride as i couldn't even reach down to my water bottle, but with a little help from some magic patches it's feeling a lot better this morning - so i'll be in the start chute tomorrow at sparrow's.

Uncle Bothma kicked my azzz on my last two outings there and I lost the bunch...

Bothma 2 - Me 0

Next season, lads...

From the Vets league bunch  :whistling:

So you got a bit of muscle damage too  Mine wasn't as bad as that. Had a bit of rotator cuff pain but that is gone now.

Starts from Hermon (left turn off R45), gradually climbs towards the Riebeeck Kasteel turn-off, then it does a short, sharp ascent, flattens off for a little while, and then goes to the Pass' climb - could compare to Ou Kaaps I think.

Wind looks fine but the temp is predicted to be around 32° C tomorrow! Light SE for Sunday too  At least it's cooler at the coast.

Gonna be a long day in the saddle on Sunday skistar15 - with all that breaking on the descents :w00t:

The first 5km of the route always kills me. Will try a warm-up this time around.

The start time of the 94km is at 6:05am. I was late for two years in a row. So a friendly suggestion - leave 30mins earlier than you planned.

Looks like there will be a gusty 20km/h SE blowing according to WindGuru.
